Cloud PDM Cost Calculator: Estimate Your Yearly Costs
Set your team size, pick a plan tier, and get a yearly estimate of what a PDM deployment costs — before the first license lands on a purchase order.
You can put a yearly number on a PDM deployment before you commit to one. Set your team size, pick a plan tier, and the calculator below estimates what a year costs across several cloud PDM options — the same math you would run on a whiteboard, with the list prices already filled in.
What a PDM costs per year
License fees are the visible line. The full yearly figure has four parts:
- Licenses and subscriptions — per-seat pricing, billed monthly or annually
- Server and infrastructure — hardware, database licensing, backups, and hosting for on-premise systems
- Administration — the hours someone spends on user accounts, permissions, updates, and vault maintenance
- Setup and training — configuring the environment and getting the team working in it
Cloud options fold the server line into the subscription; on-premise systems keep it on your budget. Either way, the per-seat license price alone understates the real yearly figure — which is why the estimate below is worth running before the first purchase order.
How to use the cost calculator
1. Choose Standard or Professional
Each vendor's entry tier is grouped under Standard and its higher tier under Professional, so the estimates line up even where the tools name their plans differently.
2. Set the number of seats
Count the people who create or edit files. Viewers and visitors stay off the count.
3. Click Calculate Costs
The table shows the estimated annual cost and cost per seat for each option, and the chart puts them side by side. Every figure is an estimate, not a quote.
Estimates are based on publicly listed reseller pricing, accessed 31 August 2026 - confirm current pricing with a reseller.

Where Sibe fits
Not every team is at the point of standing up a PDM. If you are two to thirty engineers, have no full-time admin, and would rather not buy a server this quarter, cloud CAD document management covers version control, revision workflows and design reviews without any of that.
Sibe is a collaboration-first CAD Document Management platform with a native add-in for SOLIDWORKS® 3D CAD. Engineers check files in and out directly in SolidWorks, Sibe tracks every version automatically, and designs go out for review as free share links that open in any browser — no account, no viewer install. A team is live in under 20 minutes. Pricing is published at sibe.io/pricing — per-seat, so the yearly number takes one multiplication.
No servers, no VPNs, no admin hassles. Book a free 20-minute demo or try Sibe free for 14 days — no credit card.
