New seat types, metadata search, and 2D drawing collaboration in Sibe

This release adds two of the most requested capabilities from our customers: named seat types for non-CAD reviewers, and search filters that work across SolidWorks custom properties. It also brings DWG and DXF drawings into the Web Dashboard, and includes two add-in improvements engineers will notice on day one.

Contributor and Viewer seats

Until now, the only way to add someone to a Sibe workspace was a full Editor seat. That works for engineers, but it doesn't fit the reviewers — clients, manufacturing partners, sales, QA — who need ongoing access to view designs and weigh in on decisions.

Two new seat types fix that:

Contributor — view files, comment on 3D models and 2D drawings, take part in the approval workflow. Web Dashboard access only. From $15/month per seat (annual).
Viewer — view files and markups. Read-only. Web Dashboard access only. From $5/month per seat (annual).

Editors keep full add-in access and check-in/check-out rights. Editor pricing is unchanged. (Heads-up: "Member" is now called "Editor" — same role, clearer name.)

Contributor and Viewer seats are available on Business Plus and Enterprise plans. They don't count toward storage limits.

Free public share links and QR codes are still here. Workspace Members and Owners can still generate public links for one-off sharing — anyone opens them in a browser, no Sibe account needed. The new seats are for named teammates who need ongoing access, comments, and approval rights.

Advanced search with metadata filters

Search in the Web Dashboard now filters by:

Type — file or folder
Workflow state — In Progress, Pending Approval, Released
Check-out state — Checked-In or Checked-Out
Custom properties from your SolidWorks files — article number, material, ESD classification, project code, or anything else your team uses

If your team relies on detailed custom properties, you can find any file in seconds.

‍DWG and DXF in the Web Dashboard

Open and mark up 2D drawings directly in the browser:

Editors, Contributors, and Viewers can view drawings
Editors and Contributors can pin markups and reply to comments

Useful for getting feedback from the shop floor, suppliers, or anyone who needs to look at a 2D drawing without an AutoCAD or SolidWorks license.

Add-in improvements

Edit warning for non-checked-out files — the add-in shows a confirmation dialog before edits are made to files that aren't checked out.
Per-folder caching policy — Workspace Owners select which top-level folders auto-cache locally for every engineer, configured from Web Dashboard Settings.
Get Latest for individual files — pull the latest version of a single file without refreshing the whole workspace.
Multi-select operations — apply check-in, check-out, and Get Latest to multiple files at once.
Faster check-out — check-out performance is up to 10x faster.
