Matt Lombard has worked in mechanical CAD since the 1990s, first as a designer, then as an engineering services and CAD manager at a manufacturer, and later as an independent consultant running SolidWorks, Toolbox, and PDMWorks implementations.
He wrote the SolidWorks Bible series and Mastering SolidWorks for Wiley, covering parts, assemblies, surfacing, and CAD administration. He has published at Dezignstuff since 2006, presented at SolidWorks World, and spent time on the Solid Edge team at Siemens.
Today he writes and produces video on mechanical CAD at Dezignstuff and on YouTube, covering SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and CAD-adjacent tools for analysis, file management, and rendering.
At Sibe he writes about version control, assembly references, and CAD document management for SolidWorks teams.
